This course was designed to prepare and strengthen adult learners' literacy and math skills for GED® Prep classes. You will participate in classes that go over comprehensive lessons in the core subjects of math, science, social studies, and reasoning through language arts. Once completed, adult learners will advance to the GED Prep courses. Self-place classes are at your own pace and should be completed within four (4) months. Tuition is $300.

ELIGIBILITY

• Must be near or at the 8th-grade level

• Know the basics of reading and writing

• Access to the internet and a computer

• Attend an orientation and complete an assessment

This 8-week program was designed for adult learners 18 or older who do not have a high school diploma and need to prepare for the GED® exam. You will participate in classes that include all four subjects for the GED® test: math, science, social studies, and reasoning through language arts. Virtual Classes meet on Monday & and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Tuition for the 8-week class session is $270.

• Have officially withdrawn from high school (only if you are 18)

• Access to the internet and a computer (if online learning is selected)

• Attend an orientation and complete an assessment

This program is designed to review math skills needed for the GED® test and provide instruction in number sense and operations, data analysis, algebra, geometry, and test-taking strategies. This course meets twice a week with the required completion of assignments outside of class. After successful completion, you can take the GED Ready® Math practice test. Enrollment is based on documentation of passing scores on the Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning through Language Arts sections of the GED® test.

This course provides information on Notary Laws and Procedures as well as Notary Signing Agent (NSA) duties. Adult learners will learn how to apply to become a commissioned Notary in their state and review the duties and responsibilities of a Notary and NSA. The course fee is $105.
